Be a Girls in Aviation Day sponsor!
"Programs like Girls in Aviation Day help ensure that we are recruiting the most talented professionals for the successful future of Aviation and Aerospace in our local industry for years to come."
On Saturday, September 20, 2025, Women in Aviation International (WAI) chapters around the world will host the 11th Annual Girls in Aviation Day, a global celebration designed to introduce girls to the limitless possibilities within aviation and aerospace. This powerful event connects girls aged 8 to 17 with accomplished women role models, from pilots and engineers to air traffic controllers and aerospace professionals, who are living proof that the sky is not the limit. Through hands-on activities, immersive career stations, and inspiring conversations, Girls in Aviation Day helps girls envision a future in industries where women are still underrepresented, but deeply needed.
Girls in Aviation Day has been recognized as an industry best practice, alongside EAA’s Young Eagles and AOPA’s high school initiative, in the national study Aviation Outreach Model and Gap Analysis: Examining Solutions to Address Workforce Shortages by Dr. Rebecca Lutte (University of Nebraska Omaha, Aviation Institute). Dr. Lutte wrote:
"Women in Aviation International serves as a primary example of a nonprofit organization implementing outreach that is aimed at underrepresented groups."
Locally, our Northern Spirit Chapter is proud to host 250 girls and their families at the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada for a dynamic day filled with interactive exhibits, exciting career stations, and an all-new Speaker Series featuring professionals sharing real-world stories and advice. This is more than just an event, it’s a launchpad for dreams.
We invite local businesses, educational institutions, and aviation organizations to join us as partners. Together, we can break barriers and build pathways that connect girls with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to pursue aviation and aerospace careers, many of which are thriving right here in Manitoba, one of Canada’s leading aerospace hubs.
As a sponsor or exhibitor, you’ll play an active role in shaping the future of the industry, while connecting with students, parents, educators, and fellow professionals. Let’s work together to fuel the next generation of pilots, engineers, leaders, and innovators.
Because when girls see it, they can believe it—and when they believe it, they can become it
